2. Data We Collect and Use

Gasall does not collect personal data by default, except in these cases:

2.1. Location Data
We access your location only if you give explicit consent through your device permissions, and this data is anonymized and does not allow for your identification.

2.2. Email (only if you contact us)
If you contact us by email, we will process your address to respond to your inquiry and, if necessary, to inform you about updates or features directly related to the app.

2.3. Usage Data (Analytics)
We use Firebase, Amplitude, and Mixpanel to collect anonymized or pseudonymized usage data. No personal identification is possible.

2.4. Advertising ID

While using our app, we may collect certain information that does not directly identify you. This may include your location (with consent), app usage data, and analytics via third-party services. The ads shown in the GASALL app comply with Google Play and Apple App Store advertising and user data policies.

Even if the app does not display advertisements, the Advertising ID (such as Google Advertising ID or Apple IDFA) may still be used for essential app functionality, including diagnostics, error detection, and usage analysis. This identifier allows us to better understand app performance and ensure its stability, without collecting personally identifiable information.

2.5. Log Data

When you use the app and an error occurs, we may collect diagnostic data (via third-party tools) known as “Log Data”. This may include your device’s Internet Protocol (IP) address, device name, operating system version, app configuration at the time of the error, time and date of use, and other technical details.

This data is used solely for debugging, security and performance monitoring purposes.

3. Push Notifications

Gasall may send you push notifications containing useful information related to the service (e.g., alerts about nearby stations, updates, or reminders). These notifications are only sent if you have provided your explicit consent when launching the app or through your device settings.

You can also customize the type of notifications you wish to receive (or disable them entirely) from the in-app settings or your device’s notification preferences.

Show gas stations near your location.
Improve app functionality using usage statistics.
Respond to email inquiries.
Advertisement.

5. Legal Basis for Processing

User consent (Art. 6.1.a GDPR) for location access.
Legitimate interest (Art. 6.1.f GDPR) for anonymized analytics, advertising ID, log data and to process email inquiries.

6. Data Sharing and International Transfers

Data is only shared with analytics service providers. These may process data outside the EEA under Standard Contractual Clauses:

These services do not process personally identifiable information.

7. Data Retention

Location: is collected only while the app is actively in use and with the user’s consent. If Gasall widgets are used on the device, they may locally retain (cached) the last shown location until the widget is manually removed or updated. This data is not transmitted or stored on our servers.
Email: will be retained for as long as necessary to respond to the user’s inquiry and, afterward, for as long as it remains relevant to maintain communication about functional aspects of the app, based on legitimate interest. It will not be used for marketing purposes without consent.
Analytics, advertisement ID and log data: the data is retained in anonymized form solely for statistical and service improvement purposes, and only while the app remains installed on the device. Once uninstalled, no new data is collected.

10. Children’s privacy

Our services are not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 18. If we become aware that a child has provided us with personal information, we will take steps to delete such data immediately.

If you are a parent or legal guardian and believe that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

For users in the EU, we comply with Article 8 of the GDPR regarding the age of digital consent.
